  • Please tell us a little bit about yourself? What made you take the entrepreneurial leap so early on in life?

I am Vinusha MK, I am 10 years old. I am Founder & CBO (Chief Baking Officer) of “Four Seasons Pastry”. I was inspired by the entrepreneurs and their roles towards society and then “Four Seasons Pastry” was born.

  • What is the quick pitch for Four Seasons Pastry?

Season Based Cupcakes

We have seasons-based cupcakes. This is our signature, other than this we have many cakes such as blondies, brownies , chocolates, sandwiches & a Signature Baking Kit.

Baking Kit

The Baking Kit is for kids with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math’s) concepts for (Age 7 to 14) Years, in a subscription model for a year. Each month has one kit. This kit contains Raw materials, Procedure, and Write up about – what the science is behind this activity, some experiment and some information about the product.

  • What is the story behind your startup?

When I was 8 years old, I always watched baking and food videos, but I never did anything about it. When I was 9 years old, I made a cake with my friend for my mother’s birthday. At that time I came to know how much I loved baking and wanted to bake another cake so I called my friend. She said it was boring, so I made the cake with my mom. I attended many classes to develop my skill in baking. After that I met a lot of entrepreneurs and was inspired by their stories, and so I thought  why shouldn’t I start my own brand. I started Four seasons pastry – I love seasons a lot, so incorporated seasons with cupcakes.

  • What have your accomplishments been so far?
  1. Got Appreciation from “OYO” CEO Mr. Rohit Kapoor
  2. I Cooked with South India Celebrity Chef Damu in “Jaya Tv”.
  3. Received Change Maker Award from Radio city “91.1” and Levista
  4. My Cooking Show (9 episodes) Featured in TV BRICS – Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa .
  • What are some short-term/ long-term goals for you?

I want to establish my baking kit throughout India. Long-term, I want to start a “Baking Institute “in India. We have no world-class Baking institutes in India.

  • What is your mission, and do you see yourself continuing with this effort in the future?

I want “ Four Seasons Pastry” to be the No – 1 Brand in the food Industry & Baking Industry.

  • What was the source of your initial funding for Four Seasons Pastry?

My initial funding was through my parents, Currently I am managing through that.

  • Who all have been influential in this journey? You may include family, friends, mentors, books etc?

My mentor – Suresh Chinaswamy. He is Managing Director of Samy’s Dosa Kal ,he helped me lot.

  • What are some of the challenges you see in being a student entrepreneur?

I faced rejection because of my age in many expos they didn’t allow me. Somehow, I overcame it.

  • Tell us about the time you encountered rejection/Challenge because you are a student. How did you overcome?

One time I went to a expo from Chennai to Coimbatore they didn’t allow me in because of my age, I was so disappointed, but after showing my work they allowed me in. I was waited for the other Half of the day.

  • How did you know about LinkedIn and what inspired you start a LinkedIn Page?

We are from agriculture background; we don’t have professional connections. To go to next level, I am using this platform. For networking purpose, I joined LinkedIn.

  • How much time do you spend working on your company?

¾ of the day I spend working on my company.

  • Do you see academics getting affected?

No, my academics are not getting affected.

  • What is the one thing that keeps you going?

PASSION is the only thing that keeps me going.

  • What are some of the tools or resources that have helped you? (Apps, websites, anything)

I am using Canva for making poster myself like that some apps are useful for me.

  • How do you prioritize your activities in a day/ week?

I see which is important & prioritize accordingly.

  • What do you plan to study in order to take your passion to the next level?

I plan to study at Ferrandi, which is France. I would like study F&B & Hotel Management there & Richemont which is in Switzerland. I would like to study diploma in bakery / confectionary.
