There is a general theory that has been globally accepted since years, and no one has ever questioned it. The standard set by society has led everyone to believe and practice the concept that working as an employee is the safest way to earn money. To lay down the concept, working a job is considered to be the best and safest option because of the belief that one can earn a fixed income in exchange for their work without any worry.

There are multiple drawbacks of being an employee that works under someone else. The risk of being terminated is almost constant which is the worst of experiences. There is rarely an aspect of self development or exploration driven with being an employee.

There isn’t even a possibility that every single person in this world’s economy would be employed as there aren’t sufficient jobs that can be offered to so many people  and this, is the harsh reality. A job comes with limited risks but also limited growth where as a business no doubt has its risks but the growth is infinite. Not only to the entrepreneur but also to the world.

Safe is the new risk, actually puts forth the idea of changing the basic thought process of following only one path to a stable income in an economy that is continuously changing, in ways that are new more often than they are old.

In an economy that is completely unstable, it is essential to encourage different streams of income. There are times that we hear about entrepreneurs literally leading the world. Given that running a business has certain risks, entrepreneurship is considered a “Risky road to income”. There is also a myth that suggests, one must take risks in order to earn independently and become self employed. If the myth was ever true, those who enter the world of self employment or entrepreneurship would prefer shifting back to a 9 to 5 job after.

Being capable of taking risks actually enables one to explore various paths towards financial freedom.

Now there are tons of perks that come with shifting to the universe of entrepreneurs –

  1. Zero Limitations

For an entrepreneur the opportunity to explore alternatives allows one to mould the business in ways that are unique and independent. This allows the entrepreneur to go through trial and error, to choose what works best for the business

    2. Time isn’t an issue

Being a business owner means an unlimited and flexible time to work on things. There are no limitations towards minimum or maximum hours of work. A business owner can work according to the goals and comfort of oneself. Since you will be working on something you are passionate about, even putting more hours doesn’t actually feel like work.

   3.Financial Freedom

When it comes to money, the end goal of each and every person is to earn as much as one can, to live a life full of comfort and luxury. Business owners have the means to earn unlimited income through their work, unlike jobs that sometimes are too hectic and inappropriate according to the compensation.

  4. You are the Boss!

When it comes to running a business, responsibility is a given, one has to take charge of everything that happens which leads to unleashing one’s highest potential.  Right from the initial planning to the expansion every single bit of one’s efforts is fully compensated. Since the business owner is the decision maker there isn’t anything that can overcome his ideals.

  5. Security

Being an entrepreneur there’s no one who can fire you! An entrepreneur has the most secure work environment that one can be in. In an economic situation that is changing almost every other year, being in charge of every decision is the one way to be secure.

It is time that the stereotypes that are blindly accepted, should be altered and being an entrepreneur, must in reality be considered to be a viable option for the young generation. In the end, living a life doing what you love is the most important part of living a happy, satisfied and fulfilled life.
